The End is Nigh...

Rosie is SO close to having these puppies!! Shes slowing down, looking at me with longing eyes. This girl is ready. We have a wonderful vet tech, Donna, who is on call to jump in and assist if we run into any little bumps. Whelping ( the birthing process) can be a very powerful and patient time and process.

Rosie and Samson's pups are already my favorite, and they aren't even here yet!! Why, you ask? How in the world can I love an unborn litter when we've poured our hearts and souls and time into 2 other litters with Angel & Samson? Blood, sweat, tears (literally... I was 9 months pregnant for Angel's first litter!).. everything was poured into Angel's first 2 litters!

Because Rosie is calm. Rosie is like a strong, steady flowing river (also how I describe my husband! haha). She snuggles me like she's a little kid, not a big clumsy golden retriever. She was and is calm when most dogs under 4 are wild and full of bounce-off-the-walls type of energy. She has this medium hair that is perfect for running my fingers through, but not so long that it makes her shedding extra. Both Samson and Rosie have medium length hair and shed a bit, but I rarely feel overwhelmed by it. Oh! Also Rosie has this dark red coat that I am personally deeply in love with!!

Don't get me wrong... Angel is a juliet of beauty and that momma made some gorgeous puppies... but I'm edge of my seat excited for Rosie's babies!!!

I'm getting the whelping room cleaned and ready this week! Y'all stay posted!
