They're HERE!!

6:45am: Good morning everyone! ... Rosie woke up on the middle of the night to start birthing her puppies. It has been a busy morning for us all. She's happily settled into her whelping box with the pups and slowly but surely bringing one more pup earthside. We have 6 puppies born so far! Our lovely Vet tech Donna stopped by to check over Rosie and her pups and was so impressed with how she took great care of her babies and how strong she was for each birth. šŸ˜ That's my Rosie. Check back as I bring updates to this blog post.

8:23am: We are on #9... she is pushing them out about every 20 mins which is health and steady for a golden with so many puppies!

As the 9th puppy it was a bit of a fight to enter this world. Momma has so manypuppies lined up nursing that she has to teach you while not disturbing them! She has to help you into this world and break your protective water sack for you to grasp your first breath of air, all while not disturbing your many siblings.

Welcome into the world #9. We are all rooting for you!

11:48am: #12 has arrived!!!! Sweet Rosie took a 2 hr break after #10. I remember when Angel did this. She stopped after #9 for 3 hrs!!! I called the vet techs over to check on her, just to be safe, and after looking her and the pups over, lots of stories and laughs, they went home. Angel popped out her last two shortly after they left. ;)

This beautiful momma in front of me is so strong. Slow but consistent wins the race of 12 puppies to birth y'all. Dr Rodenbeck, our beloved vet at Kendall County Vet, counted 12 pups on the x-ray. Let's see if one was hiding!

3:09pm: Looks like 12 was her number! No more puppies in there. Now it's time to weigh, check genders and give them their colored collars šŸ„°šŸ˜.. the fun begins!

Check out our Puppy Profiles to see all their little profiles, info, updates and photos!
